West Ridge Story Festival
West Ridge Story Festival features original plays written by residents of this ethnically, racially, religiously, and economically diverse Chicago neighborhood. We invite you to visit West Ridge and discover the narratives of those who call these 3.5 square miles on the city’s far north side their home.
Black Teen Lives Matter
Black Teens Lives Matter is a virtual project in four acts—drawing on monologues and short plays written by Black teens in the EPIC (Empathic Playwriting Intensive Course) program from 2017-2021. The project honors the stories of Chicago’s young people and situates the voices of Black teens within a legacy of storytelling and activism that predates today’s civil rights organizing.
